Roer er het zout, rozemarijn, tijm en zwarte peper door. Smeer met een kwast, de saus over de kalkoen. Bedek dit vervolgens met een deksel of aluminiumfolie. Bak het geheel op 350 graden voor ongeveer 1 uur. Haal vervolgens de kalkoen uit de oven, haal het deksel eraf. Voeg de groenten toe. Bedruip het geheel overvloedig met de kruidenboter saus en bedek het vervolgens weer met de deksel. Zet de kalkoen weer in de oven voor ongeveer 30 minuten. Bedruip het geheel wederom. Zet de kalkoen, onafgedekt weer in de oven voor ongeveer 20 tot 30 minuten of totdat de kalkoen een bruin laagje heeft. Arrangeer de kalkoen, samen met de groenten op een mooie schaal. Sprenkel vervolgens wat paprika over de kalkoen. Bedruip de kalkoen met een lepel van het achtergebleven kookvocht.
